Trains

The closest train station to the house is Bayerisch Gmain. It is 4 km from the house on the German side of the border. From here you can take the train to Munich and Munich Airport (via connection) in the west and to Bishofswiesen and Berchstgaden up the valley. There is no convenient train connection to Salzburg from here. I believe the bus stops there on the way between Bad Reichenhal to Salzburg

You can take the local bus directly to Salzburg train station for Intercity connections. The closest bus stop is 600 meters from the house. Links to Bus schedules can be found  on the bus transportation page along with descriptions of interesting things along the route.
